
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — It is a piece of COVID misinformation gone viral. Ivermectin is a drug generally used to handle horses … and now some are having it in an try to treat COVID-19. Veterinarians say they give ivermectin to horses to eliminate parasites. The Fda states there is no evidence it treats or helps prevent COVID-19, but that is not stopping some people today from putting their health and fitness at threat by using the drug.
